Roland’s foray into the automotive scene started with a childhood dream of someday owning a BMW M3, a dream that his strong
work ethic and responsibility was able to make into a reality shortly after he was legally able to drive. Roland will honestly admit that he had bit off a lot more than he could chew at the time. That being said, he wouldn’t do it any differently if he had to do it again. Experiences such as taking the more aggressive line through Colorado’s winding mountain roads as well as realizing that maintaining a 13 year old German sports-car costs a lot more than a Volvo of similar vintage have played major roles in teaching Roland how to make more responsible decisions in other areas of his life.
Currently Roland attends the University of Wyoming where he is studying to become a Mechanical Engineer. When he isn’t at school, you’ll likely find him working on a European car or behind the wheel at one of the local autocross events. Knowing how to maintain a car as well as drive it to its limits are two of the more important things in Roland’s life and he hopes to combine all of his automotive knowledge and education into a career someday.
