Erik has been neck-deep with automobiles since his childhood days. After playing with slot-cars and remote control vehicles, his focus turned to full-size design and fabrication during his engineering undergrad studies at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.  While designing the powertrain system for CSU’s 2007-2008 Formula SAE platform, he maintained and drove the stable of legacy FSAE race cars for the university’s competitive collegiate driver training program.  He graduated spring of 2006 with a Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering degree.

When a steering wheel wasn’t in reach, a camera has been attached to Erik’s eye since late high school.  He’s covered several of the local weekend racing circuits, local gatherings and regional shows over since 2004.  Running his photography side project, Pattern Draft Imaging, he coordinates several of EuroBerge’s photoshoots to provide astonishing images for each publication.  With his engineering background, Erik also serves EuroBerge’s technical writer; using direct, to-the-point terminology and humorous grammar intended for those who love to cross-reference with their Webster’s dictionary.
