About EuroBerge

cover1EuroBerge Magazine was started in 2008 by Richard Melick and Micheal Selander with the idea of creating an online newsletter that would cover the mutliple car clubs in Colorado that gear towards European motoring.  With the help of a great group of friends, Richard and Mike were able to take this idea and produce the very first issue of EuroBerge, a 10 page spread of photos and articles covering just a few little events.  Since then, we as a group have pushed each other, be it in layout and design to article writing, to set a standard of over 60 pages of publication being produced every quarter.

The premise behind EuroBerge is that it be free to the enthusiasts no matter what, and to be free of any advertising, which we feel clutters up the pages and distracts from the content.  With this idea in mind, we push each other to ensure the content we bring to you, the enthusiast, is of good value, and not something you could find in another magazine.  Due to the local emphasis of the magazine, we’re able to deliver a publication that honestly reflects what you, the reader can relate to the Colorado enthusiast can relate to: European cars and Colorado.  We know there are enough events and stories out there for each issue to stay fresh and to allow our readers stay up-to-date on the goings-on all around the state.

cover3The articles you will find in EuroBerge are focused on the “scene” of European cars in Colorado. Unlike other “enthusiast” magazines, we do not publish driver profiles, product reviews, or the like. Our focus is on the events and the people as a whole, as well as everything from detail techniques to tire choices that tend to be a little different based on our location and weather patterns (and CDOT).

What does this all mean to our readers?  Simply put, we are powered by the enthusiast, and without the support of the community, we simply would not have the content to write about.  This is where our size becomes our advantage.  Each member of EuroBerge is available for direct contact by anyone at any time.  We are all seen driving around on the highways, walking the events and taking pictures everywhere we go.  It is the idea that each member of EuroBerge is also a member of the community that keeps our ties strong.  It is our idea that when you lose touch with the individual enthusiast, you lose your readership.  This is something we all promise will not happen.

Since the first issue, we have enjoyed working with each club in Colorado, covering the various events that have blessed our state.  We also love going to shows and meeting the enthusiasts that make up our scene, talking to each one about what they would like to see in coming issues, cover61ideas they have for their car, or helping with event coordination.  We love being involved and are enthusiasts ourselves.

We hope you enjoy reading EuroBerge as much as we love putting it together.  We are all available for contact, so if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to get a hold of us at any time!  We love hearing from our readers.  Again, thank you for your support and we will see you on the road!
